Performance Measurement Program
Washington County is participating in the Performance Measurement Program.
The county has submitted to the Office of the State Auditor a 2025 Performance Measurement Review (PDF) on 10 standard measures created by the Council on Local Results and Innovation.
State Standard Measures Program
The Minnesota Legislature created the Council on Local Results and Innovation in 2010. The council created a standard set of 10 measures for counties. Participation in the standard measures program is voluntary. A county that elects to participate in the standard measures program may be eligible for a reimbursement of 14 cents per capita in county program aid, not to exceed $25,000.
See the Office of the State Auditor's Performance Measurement Reports website for more information.
Washington County Annual Performance Measure and Indicators Report
Washington County aims to deliver excellent public services to its residents in a way that is efficient, cost-effective, and responsive. To achieve this, they adopted a results-oriented government system in the early 1990s. This system allows them to sustain or enhance service levels and align performance with management decisions.
The Washington County Annual Performance Measures and Indicators Report plays a crucial role in keeping up with evolving expectations, directing efforts towards improving vital programs and services, making informed decisions, and effectively communicating outcomes to residents.
