Notary Commission Registration
Washington County residents and out of state residents that have a commission card indicating that Washington County is their border county, may register their notary commission at our office.
Register in Person
You can register at the Stillwater Government Center or any of our Service Counters.
- Present your commission card issued by the Minnesota Secretary of State
- Provide valid photo identification
- Give your signature as printed on the commission card and as you will sign when notarizing
- Pay the registration fee (Payment types accepted vary by location)
Register By Mail
- Submit your commission card issued by the Minnesota Secretary of State
- Sign the commission card as indicated: one exactly as your name appears on your commission card, and one as you will sign when notarizing.
- Your signatures must also be notarized (which includes the date of notarization).
- Registration fee by money order or check made payable to Washington County in the amount of $20
Enclosing a self-addressed stamped envelope will expedite the process.
