Attendance Intervention Meeting

The Attendance Intervention Meeting (AIM) is hosted by the Washington County Attorney’s Office. This programs aims to help students and parents in an early, informal setting to:

  1. Learn about common factors that contribute to truancy, including:
    • The pitfalls of ongoing attendance issues.
    • The Truancy Diversion Services.
    • The court action processes.
  2. Consult with Washington County attorneys and school officials to:
    • Discuss questions and concerns.
    • Obtain information for available services and resources to address barriers to consistent attendance.

This information is provided in an effort to encourage students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) to proactively seek support to resolve attendance issues and avoid further County intervention.

Attendance Intervention Meetings (AIM) is held twice per month in October - May, from 6 - 7:00 p.m. at two locations:  the Cottage Grove Service Center and the Government Center.
