Purpose
The Washington County Community Development Agency (CDA) is a discrete component unit of Washington County established by Chapter 475, Minnesota Session Laws of 1974, as amended, to undertake certain types of housing, redevelopment, and economic development activities in Washington County.
Washington County Board Resolution No. 80 87 established the Washington County CDA after certain need findings.
Composition
Washington County CDA board members are appointed by the County Board. The board consists of:
- Five citizen members (one from each commissioner district).
- One commissioner from the County Board.
- One consumer of CDA services as required in the Code of Federal Regulations.
Procedure for appointment
Applicants must complete the required application for appointment to this committee. Submit any background information requested. Members must be interviewed by the County Board.
Member terms
Members are appointed for three-year terms and are eligible for reappointment.
Meeting requirements
The Washington County CDA meets on the third Tuesday of each month.
Remuneration
Members of the CDA receive meeting per diem and mileage reimbursement at the rate established by the Washington County CDA. The Washington County CDA provides for this payment.
Operating procedures
The CDA board operates in accordance with the bylaws established by the Washington County CDA.
