Washington County Parks seeking feedback on vehicle permit fees and future funding

Washington County Parks are currently funded through a mix of vehicle permit fees, grants, and property tax support. The county is exploring different funding options to support the needs of the system. Your input will help shape how Washington County funds its parks and trails in the years ahead.

Washington County consists of eight parks, three regional trails, one conservation area, and the Historic Courthouse site. Our parks provide a gateway to scenic landscapes and treasured natural resources, unique to the Twin Cities region. With more than 5,000 acres of parkland and over 570 acres of water, there are a variety of ways to discover and enjoy the outdoors.

Washington County is exploring options to help fund the future of the park and trail system.

In order to fully evaluate the different funding options to support the needs or our park and trail system, we need input from those who use them. We are asking community members to share feedback before the survey closes on September 7.
