The following actions were taken at the Feb. 10, 2026, Washington County Board of Commissioners meeting at the Government Center in Stillwater, Minnesota.
County Board approves raffle application for Disabled Veterans Rest Camp
The Washington County Board of Commissioners approved an exempt permit of Minnesota lawful gambling from Disabled Veterans Rest Camp Inc. Feb. 10.
The application is for conducting a raffle on May 25, 2026, at 11300 180th Street North, in May Township.
Minnesota state law requires County Board approval by resolution of permits for organizations to conduct off-site gambling within townships. The County Auditor reviewed the application, and the applicant met the requirements to conduct raffle activities. The approved application will now be sent to the State Gambling Board for consideration.

Sheriff’s Office receives $1,000 donation from county resident
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a $1,000 donation from a county resident.
The County Board of Commissioners approved the donation Feb. 10.
Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, provide on-scene support and lifesaving measures. Cynthia Young, a county resident, has expressed her appreciation for the professionalism and compassion shown by deputies and offered the $1,000 donation.
The donation will be used to support employee wellness programs and community engagement events.
